Samantha Zaleski, Director
Samantha is an Australian/ European hybrid, director, award winning illustrator and concept artist based in Brisbane, Australia. She is a 2019 graduate from Griffith Film School. Inspired by the power of movies to tell meaningful stories, she aspires to become a concept artist and respected filmmaker creating movies that matter. She directed and created this film in tribute to her father, Serge Zaleski and her family. By telling this story she sheds light on the bigger picture of loss and connection through grief. By so doing she gives voice to the voiceless and those that grieve. ‘In The Stars’ shows that loved ones are never truly lost and that you can always choose to be a family.
Yoel Hill,
Producer
Yoel is a Hungarian- American producer, scriptwriter, and animation generalist currently stationed in Brisbane. He is a 2019 graduate from Griffith Film School. He aspires to become a writer- director and craft stories with heart. Moved by the weight and sincerity of In the Stars, he came onboard as producer to help realise Samantha's message and vision.
